Making a positive impact in the communities we work with is an important part of what RDP Newmans does as a well-established accountancy firm. From the day we opened our doors we made it our aim to give something back. One of the ways in which we help is through our work with local and national charities. As a firm we regularly hold events to raise money for a number of good causes.
These have recently included fundraising for:
SNAP (Special Needs And Parents) - a charity that helps Essex families with children and young people who have any special need and disability.
HARP – Southend’s leading homeless charity
Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
Kef – a London-based non-profit voluntary organisation that works with children with special needs and disabilities
Genetic Disorders UK
Sense International
The Wounded Warrior Project
The Music Man Project
Members of our team also contribute their professional expertise, by giving their time and expertise to community organisations on a voluntary basis.
One of our partners, David Finn, is a trustee and treasurer at a number of local charities.
We are also involved in initiatives linked to education and operate a programme of award sponsorship in local schools, to celebrate pupils’ enterprise and achievement.
Our work with businesses across the South East helps them to remain competitive, which in turn brings many benefits to their local communities and the regional and national economy. In order to recognise the work of local businesses we have sponsored a number of local business awards, including most recently the Southend Business Awards 2014.
