RDP Newmans named as Best Employer for second year running

Chartered accountants RDP Newmans, which has offices in Harrow, Southend and London, has been named as one of the accountancy industry’s best employers for the second year in a row.

RDP recently made the top-10 shortlist of the 2014 Accountancy Age – Best Employers award, mirroring their achievements in 2013.

The Best Employer programme was created in 2011 and is a joint project of leading industry publication Accountancy Age and Best Companies Group.

The survey and awards programme is designed to identify, recognise and reward the best accountancy practices to work for in the United Kingdom, benefiting the area’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

To be considered for the award, employer and employee surveys were completed, with the firm’s being judged on their working environment, training, remuneration and employee benefits packages.

The top-ranked practice will be revealed at the British Accountancy Awards on 25 November at The Brewery in London.

David Finn, a partner at the firm said: “To be named as one of the Best Employers in the UK accountancy profession for the second year in a row is a real honour.

“The partners are particularly pleased with this nomination, as an important part of the nomination process consisted of an employee survey. It is great to know that our staff value their employment with the company and are full of enthusiasm and positivity to move the firm forward.”

Kevin Reed, editor of Accountancy Age, said: “These practices have made their way into the top ten from a long list of participants, and should be proud of their achievement.”
