If working from home – refer to Appendix-1 for expenses that may be claimed.

Bereavement Allowance, Carer’s allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Contribution-based Employment & Support Allowance, Pensions paid by the Industrial Death Benefit Scheme and Widowed Parent’s allowance are common taxable benefits.

If you or your partner is claiming child benefit and your total relevant income exceeds the £60,000 threshold, please provide number of children benefit is claimed for and confirm if for full tax year. If claimed part-way, then confirm dates. Should your partner’s relevant income figure exceed the £60,000 and is the higher earner, the child benefit charge is payable by your partner. (Please refer to Appendix-1 for more details).

If you dispose of Cryptoasset exchange tokens (known as cryptocurrency), you may need to pay capital gains tax (please refer to Appendix-3).

Property disposals-own home, second homes or investments properties. Please provide completion statements of both acquisition and disposal of properties. If residential Investments properties, provide dates of personal occupation if applicable. Please see Appendix 3 for rules regarding the 60-day CGT reporting requirement for both UK Resident and Non-Resident Tax-payers.

Tax-payers should set up PTA by logging on to GOV.UK website.

State Pension forecasts- may be downloaded from the PTA. Please note that to be eligible for full State pension, 35 years of NIC ‘paid’ up years are required. This should be forwarded to us for review if considering paying additional contributions for gap years.
